Residents live in the home as any other family may occupy a home. They are considered tenants under landlord tenant laws and have a lease agreement that contains financial information as well as other expectations for tenants in the recovery home.
Should a resident be asked to leave the home, the landlord must comply with Ohio landlord tenant law and/or Ohio eviction law.
It is highly recommended that organizations offering recovery housing seek legal guidance from an attorney when crafting their resident lease agreements.
