Recovery Housing Basics and Definitions

It is important to be clear about what is meant by “recovery housing,” so individuals seeking housing, including family members and the community, can have a full understanding of the population served and the supports provided.

If a property does not meet the state of Ohio’s definition of recovery housing, and if it does not meet the standards of certification, it may not fulfill the need of the housing and recovery continuum of care.
