Good Neighbor: Know Local Laws

It is important that you understand your local legal housing requirements.

ORH recommends that you hire an attorney to help you fully understand your local ordinances and ensure that you have met all of the requirements for your community, including inspections, registrations and other laws.

You can typically find the local building and zoning codes on your local government’s website. You can also contact your local city if you have specific questions about the codes or regulations.
