Prohibition of Sexual Relationships between Residents and Staff

Staff members are strictly prohibited from engaging in any form of romantic or sexual relationships with residents. Such relationships create conflicts of interest, a potential for exploitation and can compromise care for residents. Any violations of this policy must result in disciplinary action.  

In addition to having this element in your code of conduct, it is critical to provide appropriate training to all staff and leaders on appropriate ethical boundaries.

In a recovery housing environment, it can be difficult to identify and uphold boundaries, but providing training in this essential skill will help prevent any violations of this part of your code of conduct.
