Staff Code of Conduct: Being Under the Influence

Creating a Staff and Leadership Code of Conduct > Staff Code of Conduct: Being Under the Influence

Prohibition on possession or being under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances:

Staff members are prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol or illicit substances while on duty or interacting with residents.

Above all, all staff members and leadership should be expected to model recovery principles, even if they are not people in recovery themselves.

Being under the influence also impairs judgment, compromises safety, and undermines the trust of residents.

Staff members must adhere to a recovery-oriented and professional demeanor at all times.
