Staff Code of Conduct: Introduction

In recovery housing, staff and leadership play a crucial role in creating a safe, supportive, and conducive environment for residents’ recovery journey.

A clear and comprehensive Code of Conduct ensures that the organization’s personnel uphold ethical standards, maintain professionalism, and prioritize residents’ well-being at all times. 

Each recovery home is required to have such a Code of Conduct, and all staff and leaders are required to sign it and maintain it.

A leader is considered anyone who has actual or perceived authority over residents in recovery homes, whether or not they are paid by the organization.
