With “Attendance at weekly house meetings is mandatory” Instead of “Mandatory” language, empower resident choice with something like “I agree to attend weekly meeting.”

With “Residents must clean up after themselves.” Instead of “Must” use verbiage less dictatorial like “I agree to clean up after myself.”

With “Clients are not permitted to have overnight guests.” Instead of “Not permitted” language give the resident on sense of community using “Residents agree not to have overnight guests.”
