Resident Application and Move-In Evaluation: Documents

Resident Application and Move-In Evaluation for Recovery Housing > Resident Application and Move-In Evaluation: Documents

Resident Applications and Evaluations Documents

Once you have your forms and process drafted, consider how you will keep track of all of the documentation.

Most recovery housing operators create a separate file for each resident that contains their application, any associated documentation, as well as formal documentation of your communication of your decision regarding their application in their file. Keeping these records can act as a demonstration that you are following your internal processes, as well as to demonstrate that you are following standards for quality.

Check with your funding partners to determine how long you are required to keep such documents. Different funding sources have different requirements. And ensure that all documents are kept for the appropriate amount of time.
