House Code of Conduct Promote Recovery

Recovery Housing Institute > House Code of Conduct > House Code of Conduct Promote Recovery

As you can see from your journal entry, there are a wide variety of ways that residents can agree to live in an environment that is actively promoting recovery. In addition to what you listed, also consider.

  • Residents agree to be home at a specific time, unless otherwise excused, to promote wellness and community accountability.
  • Residents agree to attend outside meetings or support groups that promote recovery and help them build recovery capital outside of the home.
  • Residents agree to engage in a recovery plan (see specific lesson on recovery planning)
  • Residents agree to seek outside employment, service opportunities or education as appropriate for the individual
