Write Your Communicable Disease Prevention Policy

Recovery Housing Institute > Creating a Communicable Disease Policy Overview > Write Your Communicable Disease Prevention Policy

Now its time to begin writing your Communicable Disease Prevention Policy.

Remember that recovery housing should be a family-like environment, that residents are not required by law to disclose their health status to a recovery housing operator, and recovery housing operators should take reasonable steps to help prevent the spread of communicable disease within the recovery home and community.

And use NARR Standards to guide you in writing your policy too.

(LEARN MORE about NARR STANDARDS https://narronline.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/NARR_Standard_V.3.0_release_11-2018.pdf)

Once you feel your Communicable Disease Prevention policy is complete enough, have someone else from another recovery housing organization review the document for suggested changes.
