The Laundry, Basement and Utilities

Creating a Physical Environment to Support Recovery > The Laundry, Basement and Utilities

Residents must be able to clean their clothes and linens, so the house must either provide a working washer and dryer OR the home must be located in an area where the resident has means to use a local laundromat.

The basement must be free from any signs of leaks or mold.

The home should be equipped with hot water, electricity and heat. Major appliances, such as furnaces and water heaters, should be in good working order.
