Please log in to your account in order to access this material.
There are some disasters or emergencies that you can not prevent, no matter how hard you try. Common situations that need to be addressed in your emergency response plan include:
-
What happens if the power goes out?
-
What happens if the water goes out or the water is not drinkable?
-
What happens if the house is damaged, and the residents are not able to live there?
-
What happens if there is a gas leak or the carbon monoxide detector goes off?
-
What happens if there is a tornado warning?
-
Other disasters appropriate for your area, such as flooding, thunderstorms, etc.
Once you have considered the best way for staff and residents to respond to an emergency, ensure this is written in a policy or plan.
Preparedness for these situations should be ongoing.
