Address recurrence of use with the resident individually.
When a recurrence of use occurs with a resident, the situation requires the recovery home to not only consider the safety and well-being of the person who has experienced the recurrence of use, but also the safety and well-being of the other residents living in the home.
NARR standards require that such situations are addressed immediately and appropriately. NARR does not require that residents who experience a recurrence of use be asked to leave or evicted from the property. However, the quality standards do require that the incident be recorded and addressed.
