Recurrence of Use: Resident with Children

Recurrence of Use in Recovery Housing > Recurrence of Use: Resident with Children

Some recovery homes allow children to live with their parents in the home. In these homes, there must be careful consideration and planning for the children if a recurrence of use happens to the parent.

The recovery home must appropriately plan with each individual family what will happen if a recurrence of use occurs. It is critical that the plan ensures the health, safety and well-being of the child or children if their parent experiences a disruption in their recovery.
